Nail Resort

This is my second time coming to Nail Resort and both times I had my nails done by Steven. I came in with an inspo photo and he executed it perfectly. The attention to detail was fabulous, and I’m so delighted with how they turned out. I’ll definitely be back again!

Update: After posting this, the salon owner, Kim, apologized to us repeatedly on the phone as well as under this review. She kept trying to make it right on her end, which we appreciated. She also made the workers aware of how we felt and how it was offensive. We also appreciated the quick response and the fact that it actually became a lesson. It seems like she cares about her business, customers, and employees. This was our first time coming to this place & we tried it out since we live pretty close. It started out alright where the receptionist was able to easily book us, which was nice since other places we tried were full. My family member had wanted to get a pedicure for their birthday. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is due to the nail techs rudeness and lack of awareness. While getting our nails done, we were subjected to comments on our ethnicity, body, etc. One guy even had the gall to say I should "eat more" after saying I'm skinny while doing my pedicure. They said two of us didn't look alike after asking if we were sisters. They asked one family member if they were Japanese (we're Asian & Black but there's a better way to ask/say these things esp when they're customers). It was just uncomfortable overall due to them. It was unnecessarily catty and gossipy. We could tell that they were also talking about us sometimes in Vietnamese, because they'd also look at us. It was a case of not saying anything if you have nothing nice to say. It's unfortunate because we liked our nails. I also thought the person doing my acrylics was nice, but the ones doing the pedicure ruined that and made me not want to talk much anymore. We can't really see ourselves coming back after all of that. It was supposed to be a day where we celebrated our family member and had positive vibes. I don’t even normally leave reviews, but this experience was just so off-putting.

I stopped by here yesterday to participate in a bit of self care for myself. I picked this place solely because of the proximity to my home and because it looked clean on the photos posted. My wait to be seated was approx 5 mins without an appointment on a Thursday afternoon. They had a large selection of services and colors. I had just expressed to my husband that it was probably one of my best pedicures experiences that I’ve had in a while. From the services at the start to the final result- I was really pleased. I felt it was well worth the money I spent (little over $100 with tip). I figured if I was telling him how pleased I was a day later that it was worth hoping on and giving it a review. Will definitely be returning.

I went here for the first time time based off of pics showing amazing nail art designs. Set an appointment for two for builder gel and design. Showed up with pics of the designs and all seemed well once the techs got started. Unfortunately it was just not what we expected. Needed 3D gel with gold chrome for my design yet they didn’t have the supplies nor a tech who could complete the design. Two different techs tried and I gave up. I was told to schedule with specific techs for designs but wasn’t told that on the phone when I booked or when I arrived. Shout out to Linsey at Nail vibes who added the 3D artwork to my nails after I left nail resort. Everyone at nail resort was very nice and apologetic about this but the design was not super complicated as you can see in my video. Again the art (gold chrome on 3D gel and gold detailing was NOT done by nail resort techs). They were only able to do the gel polish and cat eye. It turned out pretty but without the detailing from nail vibes I was very underwhelmed by the final product from nail resort.

I went here for the first time today and got my nails done for my wedding! Everyone was so nice and took their time with the designs and pedicure it was so nice! I’ll definitely be coming back!
