Jade Nails

I have been a regular customer at this salon because the quality of work is usually excellent. However, during my most recent visit, the service did not meet expectations. My husband requested a manicure and pedicure. While he received his pedicure, his manicure was overlooked despite his request, and he was left waiting without follow-up. In addition, during my full set, the technician appeared distracted, and the overall experience was not up to the usual standard. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I will be considering other salons moving forward.

Good service. The shop and the stuff that was used were clean. I just wished they were more approachable. They seemed annoyed when I was confused about manicure and gel extensions. It was my first time, that’s why. I wanted to ask questions, but seeing them irritated, I lost my confidence to ask because I did not want to sound dumb. I hope they can improve on this part so first time clients can confidently ask them.

This review is coming from someone who really does not like to write bad reviews but is honest about their experiences. I made my reservation online, but I did not get the person I made the reservation with. I had one person do my pedicure, and a different person did my nails. I would have liked the same person to do both services, but I guess they don't work that way. It's probably quicker to have two people work on one person. It felt a little rushed. I like my experience to be more relaxing and not feel like the quality is going to be affected. The quality of the services was ok. I'd rate higher but did not because I had to ask someone else to correct some things on my manicure. Such as excess polish to be removed on my skin. I was also jabbed by the cuticle clippers, which left broken skin. I had to ask the technician twice to clip off the skin hanging. This person was a bit shaky as well. The pedicure specialist was fine. That person got a better tip. My appointment was in the morning on a weekday, and there were a lot of walk-ins accepted. They did offer a beverage while I waited for my nails to dry. They are a Covid conscious establishment. In terms of cleanliness, it seems clean. However, after closer inspection... The floor is a bit warped near the front door, making it easy to trip if you're not careful. They could sweep in-between clients because you can see clipped nails around the pedicure tubs. Plenty of parking - located in a strip mall area.

I came here initially after getting my pedicure done at another location, that despite my request, filed my toe nails so thin, that after more than 3months, they're still recovering. When I came here (Kathy) noticed, and made appropriate recommendations. So, I felt safe to get my nails done. Unfortunately, I got them done on my Husband's birthday (last Thursday)..by Monday they were lifting and popping off. Now...I didn't take a photo of the 1st set. However, the acrylic was sitting on top of my cuticles.😔😐 I called and left a message. The Manager (Mary) recommended that I come back in. When I told her that I DID NOT want the same person to do my nails again, and asked if she would...SHE agreed to do it. Then, upon inspection, she could feel it. Her Action Steps 1) Remove Polish 2) Removed Lifted Acrylic (opaque) with the nippers 3)Pushed my Cuticles back(per my request) 4) Removed hidden cuticle with cuticle bit (based on her observation of additional thin cuticle on the nail bed. 🤩 5) Completed service w/cuticle oil & words of appreciation. THIS IS SERVICE QUALITY. BTW... As a licensed Cosmetologist/Skin Care Specialist...I fully understand the State board requirements for acrylic nail service. That being said..I am very pleased. I would absolutely RECOMMEND that you patronize Jade SpA if you live in the Hercules, Pinole, Crockett, Martinez,El Sobrante, Richmond, El Cerrito areas. Most nail shops in this area are rude, dismissive, disrespectful, and lack a professionalism specifically when doing business with the African American community. I would typically leave and not return. See photos...🤩

Highly recommend! Jade nails is a clean, friendly, and professional shop in Hercules, CA. I really enjoy getting my manicure done by Andy and Mary, and Pedicure by Annie (always flawless)! They are all so friendly and are very accommodating. Totally worth the wait :-) But all the times I've gone in I've been taken care of immediately. I really appreciate how professional they are. I didn't like the way a nail was shaped and Andy fixed it right away. That's what I call good customer service!
