New Golden Nails Spa

Submitted a request for a nail artist and told them to contact me with her availability if the time I chose was not available. They confirmed my appointment no problem. When I went in, the manager took me and never even mentioned the girl i requested until I mentioned it halfway through; to which he replied she suddenly got kidney stones. Understandable. But what’s not understandable is being unwilling to help people choose colors, rushing them through, and then when they noticeably hate the color (after being told no to two others and saying firmly I wanted a solid glitter) I’m left with flakey glitter with the acrylics clear through them. To top it off, when I go to pay in cash I have $5 extra for an “almond shape” (my nails are round) and then he takes another $5 for his tip before even giving me my cash back…. I struggle to find a salon I like but now I remember why I didn’t come back here after few months ago. Will never recommend.

I’ve been coming here for 3 years, I refuse to try other places closer to home because why change something that doesn’t need changed, duh! Every time I go in I get treated with respect and kindness that I never got at other places. I’m greeted with smiles and familiarity from all the staff. Tara (who is my main girl) always goes above and beyond for me. I always come with designs that can be sometimes difficult and she never complains about them! I just show her a picture and she takes it from there! Sometimes when she knows something won’t look good she will just do whatever she thinks will look good and what’s crazy is I trust her to do that! I always know when I leave I will leave with the results I wanted. People at work ask all the time who does my nails and I tell them it’s the amazing people at New Golden Nail. I truly love all of them and their work.

I’m going to start with the fact that I’ve never had my nails done, so maybe I expected too much. I paid $67 for these nails. Honestly, if they were well done, I wouldn’t even blink at that. But I can’t believe I paid $67 for that plus leaving a tip for these. I wanted a green French tip with gems to mimic Christmas lights. After 3 nails, I decided I didn’t like the gems. I asked him to remove them, and he did. But he didn’t grind off the glue he used for the gems and some of the silver backing is still on my nails too. For the French tip, he painted half my nail then wiped away the excess. It left things really uneven and smears of the green across the clear part of my nails. The green also doesn’t even go to the edge of all of my nails. He cut one of my cuticles with the grinder and now it’s infected. I wasn’t happy when I left, but I’m even more unhappy now. It’s been 6 days and the paint is chipping off the tips and edges. This is gel polish and I feel like it shouldn’t be worn off already. I don’t think he put clear coat over the edges. Around my cuticles, at least two nails are lifting on the edges. For my first experience getting my nails done, I’m really disappointed. I can recognize that part of the issue is that I didn’t speak up for myself. But I feel like I shouldn’t have had to tell somebody that these nails don’t look nice. I have a friend who goes there religiously and her nails always look amazing. She does see a different tech than who I saw, so maybe that was the issue.

Megan was absolutely amazing! She talked with me about what colors would work best and she was very meticulous with the quality of her work. I am so appreciative of my wonderful nails. Thank you, Megan🌟

We had the nicest time and best treatment at New Golden Nail Spa! We love our nails and they were so sweet with our 2 year olds first nail experience! We will definitely be back!
