Vina Nails

I booked a last minute appointment after work at the end of the day with Kevin the nail tech! I showed him a Pinterest picture of what I wanted and he got right to work! Ellie helped as well. Ellie is super talented too! Kevin does beyond amazing work! My nails turned out WAY better than the picture. He took his time and was very precise and happy to take on the challenge at the end of the day. I couldn’t have been happier with my experience with Kevin and Ellie! 100/10 recommend those two nail techs!

He did a great job on my nails. Perfect art work. I just felt at first he wasnt too friendly and a little short with me. Like I should have known what he expected me to do. Not all of us are nail salon divas. I take 24 hour care of my husband. This was a treat to myself. But like I said the art was right on!

UPDATE WITH PICTURES Before I start this I want to say after coming back to the salon they were very understanding and wanted to fix them for me and even gave me a $10 gift card which I did appreciate greatly but as we “fixed” them the more I was just ready to get out of there and take my losses. The lady kept saying I was just tired yesterday and that the top coat was too thick. She said that she would fix the shaping and make the design better. But after what is now been 3 days (I went in Sunday, came back Monday) I am very disappointed when I left the second time I was just going to look past the little things because they were nice enough to fix them and give me the gift card but now i noticed one one nail she didn’t put the purple dots in the white flowers, I have lifting in a few places, they are overfilled in areas, you can see red lines in my natural nail where she files down so far that I have the “red ring of fire”, my natural nail is still showing and the shaping is very inconsistent. I am very disappointed as I did pay $102 and tipped the lady $15 (out of the $102) and I feel like the work I got was not worth that much at all. I don’t think I will be coming back unfortunately or if I do I will ask for someone different. I was so excited to go I haven’t gotten my nails done in so long. I looked at the reviews before going and it looked amazing. I am very disappointed though the lady I had was so nice but she didn’t do good. The shaping is off you can see parts of my natural nails still, the design looks very sloppy and after leaving I noticed one nail she wiped off and left the white streak. Definitely not worth what I paid. Also put the picture of what I wanted in there not even close to what I wanted. Super bummed out

I’ve been going to Vina to get my nails done since mid summer this year, and have always had a pleasant experience, until today. I typically get a full set and fill twice before getting a fresh full set. This time I had my last full set done at the beginning of the month, and broke a nail within a week and a half, so today went in for my second fill on this set. A very important and basic set of French tips. I typically get dark colors so it’s a different style for me. As I walked into the sunlight leaving the salon I realized almost ALL of my nails had black spots under the white of the French tips. I went back in to show my nail tech and asked what we could do. He said I would have to pay for a full new set because it was leftover polish in between my nail and fake nail. Which means it was leftover there from the last time I bought a full set. If I had known this was an issue, I would have paid for a new set in the first place. But because I’m on a budget as a bridesmaid 2 days away from the wedding, I couldn’t afford to pay for a whole new set after a fill and pedicure. I go back in and Ray offered to repaint them. You can no longer see the black spots, but now they are visibly very pink, when I am supposed to be neutral and matching the other bridesmaids. I am thankful that they were repainted but I wish more could have been done. The only reason I have black spots is because paint was left behind from my last set in the first place. Now I’m stuck sticking out from the rest of the bridesmaids, and will probably have to buy stickers to put over my nails for the wedding. Beyond disappointed as I’ve been coming here for months and never complain about a thing. Now when it’s most important to me, I feel let down. I could have drove to Indiana and had my nails done elsewhere with the bridesmaids, but chose to stick with my favorite place. I will not be coming back.

My nail tech did not speak English. I was quoted $50 then charged $90. Spent $100 including a tip for trash nails. The shape is ugly and the polish is sloppy. Totally unimpressed. I wouldn't go back if they offered free services. Full set of never again! UPDATE!!! Was contacted by staff and they offered to fix my nails. I made an appointment and showed up to be yelled at by the original mail tech that had done my nails WHILE HE WAS WORKING ON ANOTHER CLIENT. I tried to show the gentleman that was going to fix my nails the photos that I had shown the original nail tech and was unable to comminuted with him due to the belligerent and verbally abusive behavior of the other tech. I cannot imagine how the two other women that were seated between myself and this angry little man could have felt. Ultimately I left the salon and was told that I should return when a manager was present. I called the salon and was asked again to come in. I said I would try but that I would like to hear from a manager to discuss the situation. I have still heard nothing. I am horrified at the behavior of this "nail professional" and upset by the lack of concern by his manager. I WILL UPDATE WHEN THE MATTER IS RESOLVED.
