V NAIL BAR & LASH

Visiting from out of town and this salon was recommended to me by my uncle. Amazing! William did my gel manicure. It’s a natural pink with chrome on all fingers except 2 that have gold sparkles. Was aiming for “simple elegance with a bit of whimsy”. He nailed it (pun unintended). Also got a pedi with a stone massage from Alex. Wonderful. And I love my neutral taupe/beige color for the autumn.

I wasn’t originally going to post a review as I got these done at the beginning of October, however after the great pain I’ve been feeling, especially in my middle finger due to the “ring of fire” they created on every single one of my nails - some way worse than others I felt like I needed to. When I first arrived I asked if they can do SNS with tips on only two of my fingers because I was trying to grow them out, which they said they could totally do. When I sat down someone else was doing my nails but what I wanted was not communicated to them as he started putting what I think was builder gel on and then told me I’d need to put tips on all of my nails to which I agreed after they said it wouldn’t be a price difference but then they went and unevenly hacked off all my nails bc it was easier than them taking their time and filing my natural nail with or before the tip. I will say the design itself I was very happy with as the tech took his time and referred a lot to my reference picture. However the problem came when he had to apply the chrome and he did not know the proper technique as he was asking the people around him what to do (which I have no problem with learning but one person he asked didn’t get up from the pedicure chair and barely lifted his head from his phone to help him and the other women who knew how to do it was clocking out). He then used the buffer to apply the chrome and when is wasn’t covering/transferring well he used his finger which smeared it over the rest of the polish as seen in the close up on the thumb. I kept having to ask him to cover all the black polish that he used as a base for the chrome on almost every finger and even then I could still see black where the gold was. It wasn’t the worst experience but after the pain I have been having in my nails from this salon I will not be returning.

The past two times I have gone here to get my nails done, they have done an amazing job! They ask you questions to ensure that you are getting exactly what you want and will take the time to make sure your nails are perfect.

I’m highly disappointed in this salon. I used to come here often for my toes and they always came out right, which is why I trusted them. Recently, I got my nails done on Thursday the 28th, and the experience was a mess. The service felt rushed and the quality was poor. When I called back, they were polite and asked me to return. At first, they tried to assign me to the same tech who messed up my nails the first time, which made no sense. I refused and got a different person. The nails came out looking much better than before, but being that they had to keep filing down from their mess up, they ended up a lot slimmer and weaker. One even snapped in half just from scratching my hair, and the polish started peeling within a day. When I went back again to explain the issues, the lady at the front didn’t even let me speak. She told me they were closed and asked me to leave, even though there were still customers inside and the door was open. That was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I’ve been a loyal customer for a while, but after this experience, I will not be returning.

This salon used to be amazing, but the quality has completely gone downhill. It seems like all the good nail techs left, because every time I come now my nails turn out terrible. Their other location, Santorini Nail Lounge, is just as bad. They clearly just hire anyone without caring about skill or quality. The owner comes across as greedy and unconcerned about either the customers or the staff. Honestly, I wish I could give zero stars. I’m currently getting these fat nails removed!
