The Nail Lounge Santa Maria

Let me start by saying that my first visit here was great. Vincent was my nail tech and he did an excellent job, so thank you for that. Since I had today off, I decided to come back for a pedicure and hopefully a builder gel fill. I didn’t see Vincent, and that was my mistake for not making an appointment. Still, I figured a French manicure would be simple enough. The experience, however, was disappointing from the start. The receptionist (Jennifer, I think. No one actually introduced themselves) was arguing with another customer as I walked in, which didn’t set the best tone. As for the nails themselves, the overall shape is uneven, the surface is bumpy, and the color wasn’t correct. I asked for Funny Bunny but was given Cute Bunny, and by the time I noticed, one hand was already finished. The French tips are also uneven. I did try asking for corrections, but it was clear that was the best the tech could do, which put me in an uncomfortable position. I shouldn’t have to ask for someone else just to get a proper French tip. To add to the awkwardness, what seemed to be the owner or manager came over to the techs working on me and told them to clean up because “the board” was coming. Honestly, that conversation should happen in private. And shouldn’t the salon always be inspection-ready? It felt very unprofessional. Finally, when it came time to pay, I asked about the military discount I received during my first visit—Vincent had kindly offered it after getting to know me and my connection to the area. This time, the receptionist curtly told me “no spouses,” even though I didn’t see that restriction posted anywhere. That was especially disappointing, since I was actually recommended to this salon by another military spouse. After spending over $160 today, I’m sad to say I won’t be returning, nor will I recommend this salon to others

Update: it's almost 3 weeks since I got these done and they haven't chipped or faded despite camping for a week and being hard on my nails! I got the builder gel and I think it helped keep my nails strong as they grew out. I will definitely come here next time I want to get gel! Alexa did a great job on my nail art! I had a picture of a fish art nail design and she executed it perfectly. She was sweet and super friendly. She took time planning out how to color my nails to make it look exactly like the picture and was always checking in to make sure I liked it. The atmosphere is very relaxing and chill. Best experience I've had at a local nail salon.

I’ve been coming to the nail lounge for almost a year now after relocating , everyone here has made me feel welcome from day one, they have a very friendly and polite staff. The shop is very well maintained, organized, and sanitary. I am always happy with my pedicures no matter who does them. I go to Vincent for my nails he is always so helpful in helping me achieve my nail goals, he also has done my daughters nails as well and did an even better job then their nail inspiration pictures they showed him. I have seen a lot of the nail art and work from the other nail artists and they are also of great quality. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone I know without any hesitation. I am so grateful my family and I found a shop we can trust, I travel about 30 min each direction just to come here and I don’t plan on changing that.

I went with my 8-year-old daughter to have some mother-daughter time. She wanted to get her nails painted. This time we went for more manicures, and we loved it. They treated us very well. The massage they give you at the end is wonderful.
