Star Salon and Spa Cotati

Decided to treat myself for my birthday today and got one of the elder nail technicians who left me with nail polish all over my toes, areas not fully painted, areas lighter than others (so not fully double coated), just all around a bad job. Mimi the owner is really sweet and fantastic, and has other great technicians, but I’m sure I am not the only person who has had this experience with this specific technician. They really need to re-consider what this person can and can’t do. I didn’t want to be hurtful towards her, because I can tell she means well and is a sweet lady, but she clearly needs more training or should all together consider a different job route. Took this one as loss, paid $40 and left. Will not be returning.

Hi, went for getting my acrylics manicure and acrylic pedicure. When you ask for a acrylic pedicure just direct them on how you want it. And they are super nice about it. I honestly think they got me out of there in 2 hours. I got French on both. I gave here a reference photo and she totally killed it. Like all salons, they were booked because I went on a Sunday but they fit me in. Remember: They are trying to get as many customer possible so they are going super fast. So they might be so acrylic still left on your hand or some polish but just wash your hands it come off at home, it is not that big of a deal. They did not cut me which is a plus nowadays and they sanitize they’re tools!!!! Great customer service if you go to SSU and can’t get a hold of you OG home nail tech they are the next affordable best thing. Check out my YouTube for a more in-depth review. Today was the first time I have been to this nail salon. Love this nail salon! Very calm, very friendly, clean, and got a great pedicure from a very nice woman. I have been to a lot of nail salons in the area, and this is the best by far. Very happy to have found this place and will definitely return.

The absolute best! I’ve been to so many different nail salons in the area and Star Salon is by far my favorite! They’re always so polite and attentive when you walk in and are willing to help no matter what. I am very particular about my nails and Mimi is always up for the challenge when I come in with random requests. She always does the best job, she’s never made me feel like she was annoyed when I ask her to change the shape of my nails or switch the color last minute even though I’m sure it’s a pain in the butt, I’m happy to pay with gratuity of course. I rarely leave reviews for anything but I 10/10 recommend Star Salon, I never leave disappointed always so pleased and these guys just deserve it!

Wonderful pedicure. Ok manicure. But I felt rushed. It quieted down while I was getting my manicure(so the staff was sweeping and mopping around me) and I ended up messing up my polish feeling like I needed to move out of the way while I was waiting for it to dry. Also there was a lot of polish stains on the stations as well as the towels used on my hands. I understand that that must happen a lot but it just didn't seem clean. Staff was always kind, just didn't like the atmosphere. Especially for spending over $100 for a basic Mani/pedi.
