Lee was amazing, she put in the extra work to form the nail shape I wanted without a nail form. I wanted to go to stiletto from coffin and add a little length and she did not disappoint. Diane has done my nails the past 3 times I’ve gone in and she is amazing! Even without an appointment I never have to wait, and I always get EXACTLY what I ask for! At other places it always takes hours and I never get exactly what I want.

I called a week ahead of time and made an appointment for Gel X with designs and a pedicure. When I showed up at my appointment time, they did not know about my appointment. They asked me to sit at a table. I showed the gentleman the design and he said he can't do that, to go sit on the other side with Diane. I had to wait 30 minutes. She asked me what I want. I said Gel X and a pedi. She told me Gel X wouldn't be good for me, acrylic or TAP hybrid Gel would be better. I told her I wanted Gel X. She put hybrid on me anyway. Then when it came to my design, I had drawn what I wanted. I told her I was not expecting the detail as good as my artwork, but something similar would work. She started the design and got it all wrong. I told her at each part that I was not happy with her doing and I was met with her telling me "No, it will look better this way". And only at the very end did they tell me my design alone would be $50 instead of when I was showing them my design. I paid $128 for nails that I had to argue about. I didn't let them touch my toes. I paid and left. I felt so disrespected. I will never be back to this salon. Go to Galaxy Nails by Oxford Walmart and ask for Le. She listens and is so kind!

I have had my nails done, on and off, since I was a teenager. I know better than to try to remove them myself. I have had techs use an old nail tip to separate the acrylic from the real nails and pop them off and destroy my nails every bit as if I had chewed them off myself. I’m usually the first person in line at whichever salon I go to because I like going early and not being there all day. I had no option but to go after work this time. My nails had been on for a little over 3 weeks and I didn’t want a cut down and fill, I wanted them removed to let my nails heal. First, I walk in, never been there before, was told to sign in, which I was doing. Then, I was told to sign in on the iPad. So, I did. There was NO ONE, not ONE person, at any of the stations where nails are done. There were 4 people working on feet, 1 training on, who I would guess to be, the owner. I’m told to have a seat. I wait for 15 mins, all the while a lady who I recognized from another nail salon place, is walking around on her phone taking selfies and making TikToks or whatever. She calls me to her station, AFTER a woman comes in to have her nails repaired. I understand she had a service and it didn’t look good so she came back to have it fixed. Do not make someone who already waited, I’m sure, wait for a service you are fixing. I sit. She asked what color gel polish I’d like and I told her I don’t want anything on my nails, I have to remove them because I need to let my natural nails heal. She takes a set of regular nail clippers and starts cutting the ends of the nails off, but she cut into my natural nails! It HURT! She said, “Well this makes them sore.” I’m sorry, no, I’ve never had my nails chopped off when having the acrylic nail removed. They have always put cotton with acetone and wrapped in foil and once the acrylic is removed, they trim and shape the natural nail. After she has left jagged ends, she brings a bowl with a paper towel and dumps acetone on my hands and throws a wash cloth over. I sat there for 20 mins. She comes and uses a diamond bit on HIGH and starts drilling away. I was hit in the eye with the acrylic so I turned my head and I was hit in the ear. I said, “Wow! That could put an eye out.” And she never said a thing, just kept going. She tells me to put my hands back in the bowl. She walks off and starts playing on her phone. I sat for another 15 minutes and she came over and drilled again, slinging projectiles everywhere again and tells me I’m going to have to soak again. I told her, “My fingers and hands can’t take another soak in the acetone, they are really hurting already.” She rolled her eyes at me, grabs the file that is coarse, and used for acrylic nails and dip nails, and half-ass ran the file across my very sore and damaged natural nails. I go to pay and was told, when I called beforehand, $10 for nail removal. They charged me $15.30. I told her when I looked at the charge on the machine, “I was told it’s $10 for removal.” She said, “It $10 for polish remove. Acrylic cost more.” I will never, ever, go here again. This is coming from someone who pays hundreds of dollars for nail services (I pay for my two teen daughters’ services too) and who always tips and tips WELL, no matter if they deserve it or not. Don’t go here for a removal. Judging by the woman having to come back to have the chrome fixed the same day should have told me to get the hell out, but now, no worries…I won’t go back and everyone I know will be told to go somewhere else.
